Our Bespoke Hats
While we always have a few ready-to-wear hats available at our shop, we prefer to build up a custom made hat just for you.
Why?
Because hats are very personal accessories. Their colour, their style, their shape, their material and their size all matters and must be orchestrated in harmony to fit you perfectly and express your individuality.
Hats must complement your personality and style. A hat is a statement, they are not fast fashion accessories. When you wear a hat, it will speak thousands of words about you, and will introduce you on that visual instance.
Hats reflect your personality more than any other items you wear. For that, we better start from scratch to build it just for you and figure out what best suits you.
What Hats Mean to Us?
Covering our heads have always been a part of human culture. Since we use wool, we make felt hats with it. Hats throughout history symbolise a particular culture, job and status, it says a lot about the wearer. However our world is different nowadays, hats still speak for who we are.
At Felt Nomad we are passionate about hats. First we learnt how to make hats from the fluff of wool in any shape and form with the traditional methods. When we learnt everything about how to manipulate wool-felt, we realised we are perfectionists and want to create the perfect hat, as really, it does matter very much what we wear on our heads.
No Compromise in Excellence!
For that, we had to find the best starting materials. We source our fur hat bases from the EU, where long heritage of craftsmanship will always bring the best quality.
I add to these hats my refined and constantly developing skills using the best quality natural materials I can think of for a long lasting and sturdy hat, that will be your very personal piece of clothing for as long as you wish.
Creating a hat is a very long process. Sculpting the crown is a delicate work, as if I wish to push boundaries and not creating the same hat over and over again, it has to look perfect from every angle. Hats are not forgiving, no mistake can be made, so I make them perfect, and that is what I love about them most.
