These nuno-felted large sized shawls made with excellent quality hand-dyed silk fabric and superfine merino wool are magical accessories in any weather. These amazing giant shawls can be used instead of a warm jumper and be elegant and beautiful. They have two layers of wool, inside and outside, nuno-felted onto a strong but vibrant, hand dyed, excellent quality paj silk fabric. Wool and silk feels being cuddled and very comfortable, but if on a hot summer day we wet the whole scarf, it would protect us from the sunlight as well while keeps us cool. Useful all year round and since the felt is a very sturdy material it can be worn for many years if not for decades. Custom orders available.
A nuno-felted shawl on a strong and shiny hand-dyed paj silk fabric.
These patterns made with the thought of making the scarf following the body borrowing some ancient Hungarian and other nomad motifs that were used for centuries decorating garments, blankets, accessories and jewelries, adding magical qualities to them.
Well, this is something cosy.
A nuno-felted shawl on paj silk and with superfine merino wool, this one made to assist with breastfeeding to a young mother in the public and stay chick and elegant while doing so. Breastfeeding cover is something I think of a while ago trying to find the right shapes.
I made some little bits and pieces for this breastfeeding scarf to make it easier to adjust it to the preferable size and shape making it more convenient to breastfeed under it, also for the baby to play with it as it has wonderful colours and textures.
This is a super soft scarf, it is nuno felted onto a silk chiffon.
This scarf became an accessory of the bride on a wedding. Also it was a present to highlight the end of a long illness. Hope the scarf helps to maintain health as it can keep the soul uplifted while giving protection to the body.
I experimented with patterns made out of wool yarn felted into this fine layer of wool.
A lovely and light triangular shaped shawl, perfect for summer too against the sun.
This was my first try to make a nuno-felted shawl that follows the shape of our body therefore sits nicely and comfortably on the shoulder. I won’t say it was perfect, but someone fell in love with it and I happily gave it to her. This scarf showed that even if it can not heal everything, can be a soothing and relieving company for its warmth, shine and by its amazing colours and patterns, as old legends say felted wool has healing properties. They certainly do.
