The title of this felted fibre art wall-hanging is “Bushfire”, as I tried to capture the all so frequent flames the bushfire causes in nature, that is while devastating in one hand, also the beginning of something new, as new seeds can germinate that was previously hidden and emerge just after these fires. So while it destroys, it also brings out new and previously hidden life and energies, giving the burnt area a new and different start. One form of the circle of life.
Entirely made out of merino-wool, it is a felted wall hanging decorated with some silk fabric and hand-dyed wool and silk yarns. The wall-hanging has some cotton hooks where two wooden rods can slide in at the top and at the bottom. Can be sent by mail if it is not locally purchased.
